Bracing Services

Bracing Services

For some patients, bracing can assist with treatment or management of orthopedic, neurological, and sports conditions of the spine or extremities.  Bracing can be prescribed when physical therapy is ordered, or it can be recommended by a physician or physical therapist during the course of treatment.

We have clinicians who deliver bracing and orthotic services for:

  • Scoliosis and kyphosis (see below)
  • Back pain
  • Dropfoot and other gait dysfunctions
  • ACL and other sports injuries
  • Fractures
  • Arthritis
  • Post-operative conditions

Our scoliosis approach:  Bracing with Schroth therapy

Our clinic is among the first in the US to offer the Schroth method, an exercise-based approach to scoliosis treatment used widely across Europe for decades.   Today, people come to us from across the US for this non-surgical, conservative scoliosis management program.  We are committed to being proactive in helping patients live optimally with scoliosis.  Bracing services are integral to our scoliosis program.

For patients who require bracing, we often recommend the Rigo-System Cheneau (RSC) brace.   It uses three-dimensional correction principles and is most commonly used in conjunction with Schroth physical therapy.  We are one of few clinics in the US to offer both Schroth physical therapy and RSC bracing under one roof.

We offer complimentary scoliosis bracing consultations -- At Spinal Dynamics, initial scoliosis bracing consultations are free, as a separate service or as a part of therapy.

We recommend you read our in-depth informational booklet about Rigo-System Cheneau (RSC) scoliosis bracing services.  Access this booklet (PDF) >>
